Massachusetts Law Chapter 85 Section 11B requires "any
person sixteen years of age or younger operating a bicycle or being
carried as a passenger on a bicycle on a public way, bicycle path or on
any other public right-of-way shall wear a helmet."
Always ride on the right with the flow of traffic. If traveling in a
group ride in a single file. Use hand signals to let people know if
you plan to stop or turn. Above all, obey all traffic laws and
regulations. Keep yourself and those you share the roadways with
safe.
If you ride a bicycle at night be sure you are visible. Your bike
can have as many lights and reflective devices as you wish. Remember
the roads on the Cape are not well lighted at night, wear light colored
clothing. If your bicycle does not have reflectors on the pedals,
you must wear reflectors on both ankles at night.
