If you lose any items check to see it
they have been turned in to us. Every attempt is made to find
owners of property that has been turned in. However, many
times there is no way of identifying the owners.

Beach Safety
Never swim alone & make sure you have enough
energy to return to shore. If caught in a riptide don't try to
swim against it back to shore, swim parallel to the beach until you are
free from the current of the riptide. When relaxing on the beach
remember to drink plenty of water even if you do not feel thirsty.
Your body uses water to keep cool. Watch for signs of heat stroke,
hot, red & dry skin, changes in consciousness, rapid weak pulse & rapid
shallow breathing. Call 911, keep person lying down, if possible
move to a shady area. Wear foot protection, the sand can become very hot
and there may be items buried that can cause injuries. Please do not
allow children to dig large holes in the sand. The sand can shift
and bury a child very quickly. For Information on Wellfleet Beach
